#KeytoSuccess: Be an Extra Miler

When I was a youth leader, I shared this lesson from Matthew 5:41, says. " If anyone forces you to go one mile, go with them two miles."

Just a background of that verse, the law authorized Romans soldiers to ask anyone, in the conquered lands, to carry their things for one mile. Just one mile.

If your country then was under the Roman Empire, soldiers can ask you to carry their stuff and you have to leave your work or your house to help them out.

Instead of prohibiting such cruel law, Jesus asked his followers to go for two miles. The lesson here teaches us to do more than what is expected of us.

The same principle applies to our careers as freelancers and in business. Be an extra miler. Be that person who does things with extra joy, time, and effort. Be a generous giver because it pays off.

It is not an easy thing because the first mile represents obedience but the second mile or the extra effort you put into your job represents love and commitment.

Our today's key to success, be an extra miler. Hanggang sa susunod.
